Parking lights

Drivers side parking lights will not shut off, draining battery.
Also, left side turn signal is inoperative. What is at fault?

I'm seeing this as a coincidence.

for the turn signal, check for a burned out bulb.

for the parking lights, look into a new switch.

It turned out that just by replacing the bulbs in the front and rear parking lights, the problem was solved. Why, who knows.
