Im Looking For A Good Rear Locker For A '91 Chevy P/u Short Bed 2wd With A 10 Bolt Rear End.....i Know A 10bolt Isnt Very Big ...but I Cant Afford To Get A Truck That I Need Right Now...ive Been Looking At A "powertrax" Locker Cause U Can
Use It On The Road As Well As Off Road....this Truck Is Driven

I have an ARB in my old 69 Land Rover and love it.
Lockers can steer you straight in the slippery stuff, but the ARB can be turned off with the flip of a switch.

Whats The Differance Between The Lockers That Dont Need To Be Turned On And The Lockers That Need To Be Activated...???..is One Better Then The Other..?

Also How Do They Handle On The Street With Ice And Snow....?..i Heard They Are Not Recomened For Ice Or Snow Packed Roads...if This Is True Then What Kind Of Set Up Do I Need To Get Before Getting A 4x4...?

One More Thing ....my Buddy Said There Is A Number On The Diff And I Could Get That Number And Call My Dealer And He Can Tell Me Whats All In My Diff..ex Axle Splins, Ration, 8.5" Or 7.5" Is This True And If It Is Where Can I Find The Number, I Just Checked The Diff And I Cant Find Any Numbers Anywhere On It........thx

Ok...i Found Out Every Thing I Need To Know Bout My Diff Except One Thing....28 Or 30 Spline Count.....anyone Know How To Find This Out, Without Pulling Off My Cover...?

'91 would be 30 spline.
I'd recomend a Detroit personally. I'm not a big fan of ARB's at all...not reliable enough IMO.
