96 Voyager - DTC Code 1698

Hi all,

My 96 Plymouth Voyager shows "Engine Service soon". With OBDII tool, the code 1698 is displayed, meaning "No messages received from Transmission Control Module". What could be the reason and how to fix it?

Bad transmission control module, loose connection between the module and the computer. Check all connections and if they are good you may have to replace the module.
