so first off I'm sorry if this has been asked before i just cant seam to find an answer even in my cars manual.
i recently backed into an upright on a fence and even at idle speed managed to damage the passenger corner tail light on my boyfriends 87 Camry. needless to say hes not happy. i have found where i can get a replacement for 70$ the problem is i cant find any instructions on how to get the damaged one out or install the new one. any help would be greatly appreciated and the sooner the better ... our couch isn't comfortable

I just had to replace one on an 89 Camry. Pull the felt like covering away from the tail light inside the trunk, remove the nuts from the backside of the tail light(there were 3 on the 89), remove the light bulb assembly from the back of the lens cover and then came the fun part........The black sticky crap that they use to make a water proof seal around the tail lens is VERY sticky and sometimes hard to remove. Since you are replacing the lens just pull on it and don't worry about breaking it. Once you remove it you might want to save some of that stuff to put around the seal of the "new" tail lens. By the way, I paid $13.00 for one at a pull-a-part junkyard here in Ga.

I haven't had a chance to do it yet cause I have had the flu but I guess I'm getting sticky next weekend.
