Just an update, they are being priced at $80/pair INCLUDING SHIPPING in the contimental US...it is a royal pain to calculate and add shipping to each order and I would rather just start shipping them than playing phone/e-mail tag with everyone to give them a total. For those in Canada/etc I will quote the UPS rate once I have your shipping address. Some more specs of the material/product will be uploaded today and tomorrow for those interested....sorry about the goof up on the site. Shipping will start at the end of the week.:flash:

Are these a self-install kind of thing? I'm guessing an alignment would be a good idea ASAP after installing...

Sure are, I will be doing an install write up and get it up on the net. An alignment check is recommended but if done carefully your alignment should be fine.

Looks like a well machined heavy duty part as compared to stock :) but that’s just the adjuster without the tie-rod end piece. Yeah, I realize that most of the times the adjuster snaps/bends where the threads are, but what about upgraded end pieces?

Anyway, glad to see whatever EOE can offer and I look forward to more! Will any other new armor parts such as a rear diff skid be available prior to GOXII from EOE?

It's not the ends that are the problem, it's the pot metal center links. The pot metal begins to give way and as it bends it heats and becomes even weaker. It then splits and pow, it's over. As soon as it is time to put larger tires on my X, a set of these will go on.

They really look solid...I should try them out some time in the near future.

Just a note that my tie rods have arrived. I will post a comprehensive how-to on my website as soon as I get them put on. It will either be the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

i put mine on yesterday. it was a snap. took me about an hour to do but for someone that knew what they were doing i'd say it would take only about 30 min.

Thanks Todd for the great service! I'll be putting the Tie-rods on this weekend and getting an alignment Monday morning!

Okay it took me 6 weeks to make the time to install my EOE Tie-rods! I follwed the instructions laid out on XOC under the review section for the Tie-rods. Took me about an hour total. I used didgital calipers to verify the length of the rod before I disassembled and reassembled. I got them back together with in .001 of the original measurement! No need for an alignment. :D

Make sure the two balljoint ends are as parallel as possible to one another. You have a bit of twist in that picture. The tie-rod needs as much rotational freeplay as possible.

I'll adjust them in the morning before I head to work!
