Hi Guys and Gals,
I brought in my truck to get its 18,000 km service and mentioned to the service guy that I had a pinging sound in my engine when I accelerated. He asked me what type of gas i used and i said typically 87 octane from Chevron. He then said you should be using PREMIUM GAS (94 OCTANE) which is, in my neck of the woods, $1.20-$1.30 / litre :2cents: :2cents: :2cents: .
When i bought the truck they told me 87 octane would run just fine (but it's the same salesman that told me keyless entry would costs thousands to install :screwy: )
Any tips out there ???
