Radio Static

I just got a 1998 3.8 with 123k mi and for whatever reason the radio stations barely come in sometimes...It is the stock radio and i get a lot of static which seems to come and go randomly...I have driven much older cars with much more primitive radio systems that sound a lot clearer...I would expect more from a 98 stock radio...which is why i think there is something wrong...any suggestions?

:disappoin spend a few bucks and put a better system in the ride...or double check the connections between the radio antenna plug and the antenna wire. Just some simple self checks ie..antenna tight? Any bare wires just hanging? Process of elimination. GOOD LUCK :biggrin:
