..it's another. Okay I know this isn't a troubleshooting forum, but you guys seem to know your fair share...when my car comes to a complete stop, after it has been idling for anywhere between 15 and 30 seconds, it just stalls and shuts off...when I try to start it back up, it is VERY DIFFICULT to keep it from stalling again, it's getting to the point where I have to put it in neutral and tap on the gas a little bit to keep the revs up to keep my car from dying again...could this be a bad MAFS that maximas are known for, or is it an easy fix like dirty fuel injectors/filter? I know there are 18 quadrillion things that could be causing this, but I would still appreciate your input. Thanks.

Sounds like the IAC (idle air controller) same thing happend with my car, i cleaned all the carbon off it and it worked fine again. I would see if someone knows where it is on your car, its usualy attached to the TB.
good luck

It sounds more like a Mass Air Flow sensor problem to me. But who knows, it could be a number of things, that's what scan tools and diagnostic charts are for.

Agreed. There's alot of sensors that could be bad that's causing that.
It does sound like its sucking air though.

I had the same problem with my Eclipse last summer. I replaced the plugs, wires, and fuel filter and the problem was gone.

Update: I just realized something else that might help out in diagnosing the problem...right before my engine dies, the inside REEKS of exhaust fumes...does that help any?
