First time owner of a '94 Probe GT and I would like to start my modifications with a cold air intake. From what I've learned so far through your messages and other forums I would like to modify my car with a K & N cone filter. My question is, with the price of the whole intake package, are there any differences between the aluminum pipes being offered by all these shops or should I stick with the K & N brand. Prices can range from $40 to $80. but the K & N package (filter, pipes, clamps and PVC couplers) can reach up to $200. Are there any other brands you would suggest? I hear positive reviews with the K & N brand but, that is just the filters -- any possiibility of installing the K & N filter with the cheaper brand cold air intake system?
Any of your experiences and expertise would be greatly appreciated.

hotshot is good too :) all you really need is a cheap ebay cai w/ a k&n and that should do you justice. only problem is they are made of aluminum, and heat up very quickly. all depends on personal preference. i personally go for the higher quality stuff, but cheap is cheap...

you can go with the 97 prelude cold air it only cost like 50 bones on ebay (with shipping and you only have to cut for the air sensor. Mx6.com project page has more info and pics if your interested
