which fluid

now that i got the tranny porblem fixed, i remembered hearing about the spec tranny fluid being incorrect, and a mess up on chryslers part. what is the correct fluid to use on it? i was thinking atf 3 or is it 4 maybe. someone with an auto has got to know.
