Hello, I own a 1989 camry 181,000 miles. I've been having problems with the front power windows (mostly the passenger side one). they seem to go down fine but take too long to go up. I do notice when it rains the problem is reduced approx. 50% . I realize the car is 16 years old and I don't expect the power windows to work like new. the 1983 - 1991 haynes repair manual had no useful info. on this problem. :disappoin does anyone know why these windows are slugish? any help/ advice would be appriceated.

Thanks, JOET/CAMRY

I recently had this problem on my 94 camry. Try spraying silicon lubricant in the rubber gasket that the window glass slides in. I also took off the door panel and greased the metal window track but I think lubricating the gasket solved the problem. Good luck.

Pull the door panel off & check wiring, along with lubricating things with white silicon.
