I was working on my sisters 2001 cavy this last weekend changeing the plugs and the starter. When pulling the plugs I noticed that there was liquid collecting by the spark plugs, when i checked by 2002 cavy, i noticed nothing. I was just wondeing if this
(a. means anything is wrong with it
(b. has this happened to anyone else here?
Next question has nothing to do with the Plugs and i just though of it. Has anyone else had to replace there starter? When I took it off, i tired to disconnect the wires, and the termal just broke off the damn thing. I was just wondering if this could be due to the location and how easy it would be to get wet if you take it to a car wash a lot?

do you know what the 'liquid ' was that was collecting there? If she cleans the motor it could just be remaining water but other than that, not realy any details, like motor, what the liquid, looked/smelt like.
the terminal breaking, not really heard of it much, especially on such a late model car. It could be a car wash if it allows it to stay wet in a particulalry warm and humid environment or if you have bad winters it could be that. But again can't say, as I don't know any of the circumstances

sorry about that.
The liquid was rust colored, and it didn't smell like oil or gas. However, it did have (to me at least) a very strong sickin smell. I really cannot describe it correctly. It wouldn't have been from cleaning the engine because it is very dirty.

sounds like it's got the 2200. do it use coolant? the head gaskets like to develop little leaks along the front edge. if it looks a little crusty where the block and head meet this may be the case. if it is. that's needs changing!

Yea its the 2200, my dad and I were wondering about the head gasket. I'd have to look again to see if its crusty in that area. Thanks for the help!
I'll let you know what I find.
