Can someone give me a ballpark on how much it would cost to put a 5 speed manual trans in a 75 el camino? including ALL parts and tools i would need... not labor.

Thanks

Well, anywhere from $500 to $5,000. What exactly did you have in mind? The $500 unit might last a week. The $5,000 one might last a lifetime in a monster.
Need more input. What engine? "Special" equipment? Rear axle ratio? Budget?

i want it to cost as little as possible but still last a while. i have a 350 in it. i'm looking to have a around 400hp when all is done so it has to be able to handle that much power. idk about rear end ratios and such so w/e you would suggest. i dont really need to many specifics as of now. but i'm like on a serious budget seeing as i'm 16... i dont want it to have to be fixed or replaced every 10k miles... but it doesnt have to be like race quality. i doubt i'll ever get 400hp out of it but thats what i'm aiming for... a sub 15sec quarter.

one other thing. i dont want to get my car dyno'd, so does anyone have like an estimate on how much power my engine might have, its the origional 75 sb chevy, with under 60k miles.
