Hello All!
Just joined tongiht. Have been browsing through the forums, but could not find any info on my prob. (or help any others on theirs.)
2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. It started with the headlights. They seemed to be confused. Only one side would be on at a time. When you turn the main lights on, they would reverse. If you turn on the high-beams, they would reverse again.
Called the local dealer I know, they said it was the module or control unit in front of the LH side fuse box under the hood. Got one...changed it out and things worked fine for a month or so...
Now, the blower motor does not work. When it started acting up again, I could shake the module and everything was fine. When I shook it, sometimes you could see the other headlight turn off and then on, the blower off and then on.
I called the dealer again, they said when you replace the "OCM" you must replace the "ICM"?????? Not sure what that means....
Any help.....please.......
Thanks in advance.

I know the lights and blower motor among alot of other things are controlled via the "front control module". I'm not sure what OCM and ICM are (outer/inner control modules ???) never heard of them. Trust me that doesn't mean they don't exist. No expert here. I would definately trace your grounds for the front control module, headlights and blower motor and make sure they are clean and tight. Give the wiring a good visual inspection. The BCM talks to the FCM so check it's wiring integrity also. Sorry, I know that's not much of a help but somewhere to look to start. Oh also check your battery for a good solid ground to the frame.

Hi surfmasterpro,
I have a 01 Dodge Caravan SE , same problem several months ago. either side of the headlight on, but not both.
Car sent to local Dealer , technician checked out and said it was the power distribution center failure, cost C$ 400 and C$ 200 Labour .
Did you install it yourself or done by dealer?
Is is just plug and play , Does it need to be programed by Dealer ?
Or anyone can help ? Thank you.
