contourRadiator fan wont come on

well guys , problems again with this thing. the radiator fan will run with relay in and ECM unplugged but plug it in and it wont run at all unless u take the relay out and stick a piece of wire in place of the relay .... anyone else think this may be a temperature sensor, a parts store told me that is what it sounds like. but my mechanic doesnt think it is

i believe there was a recall on the fan resistor.

I think that the temp switch may need to be changed i cant get my book back from my bf's brother he lost it but anyways i think it may be that
