Help with 00 Durango Rear Brakes

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango. I've changed rear brakes 3 times and can not get them to work correctly. The rear brakes grab and lockup. I've had the dealer replace them and they work fine for a couple months and the problem started again.

Please Help

Did you find any solution. Mine are doing the same?

Assuming drum brakes - do you notice the problem more in wet/extremely humid conditions? Try a higher grade shoe next time, I've had that grabbing problem on many vehicles with drum rear brakes that seems to be the shoes absorbing moisture and getting "tacky" (for lack of a better description.) Also, if your drums are pitted or grooved the least little bit can contribute to hang up - try having them turned to clean up the contact surface.

I've got the same problem. The brake pedal gets stiff and the rear tire locks up really easily. I haven't noticed a pattern to how the weather effects it. I have noticed that if the emergency brake is engaged and released a couple of times, the problem goes away for a week or so.

On the tire that keeps locking up, it eventually blew my brake cylinder. I had both cylinders replaced, shoes replaced, and drums turned. And its still locking up.

It almost seems like pressure isn't being released from the brake or the adjuster it over adjusting or something. One more thing... during a recent snow, I noticed that the ABS would kick in like normal, but when I took my foot off the brake pedal, the ABS would stay engaged.

Does anyone have any ideas or know if the emergency brake on the Durangos unadjust the brake tensioner?

Are you guys sure that you wheel bearings are not causing extra drag?
Also, I know that the ABS modules are prone to failure.
