We recently purchased a 2003 Caravan. It didn't have a keyless entry key fob so we took it to a Dodge dealer to get one. They told us that it wasn't equipped for one. They said we would have a buy a module, the wiring, and everything. They said they could install it all if we had it. Does this sound right? Also, it does have power windows and power door locks but not the sliding power doors. It has key holes on both front doors but not on either of the sliding doors. Would we be better off to have an aftermarket keyless entry system installed or go ahead and get it done through the Dodge dealer? Thanks for any information.

As a Dodge tech, I must recommend a quality aftermarket keyless entry. Dodge is over priced and the range is POOR!!!
If you are going to spend the money, just get a good remote starter installed with the keyless entry feature (like an Ultra start)
If you want, send me the last 8 digits of your VIN, and I will confirm it has or does not have keyless entry.

I looked up your vin. Your van has everything but keyless entry...
its pretty loaded up, I was a bit suprised to see no RKE or security.
sorry...I guess you have to have one put in.
