When I tow my 16ft aluminum boat with my 1996 rodeo 3.2 v6 2wd, should i tow in drive or 3rd gear??

Doesn't really matter unless you're at freway speeds then tow in drive, but I would keep it in power mode.

I have the same truck, depends on the terrain.
I tow a 20' boat - on flat terrain, Drive & powerMode are fine.
You WILL need powermode for taking off, or let's actually say the tranny will appreciate you for it.
Mountains/hilly terrain, and you may find yourself shifting down - just depends on the climb.
I highly recommend to NOT use just the Drive gear alone.
Oh, and you can almost watch that gas gage go with powermode on :crying: i.e. I average 19-22 usually w/o boat; with boat/powermode 13-15 mpg flat ground with the boat.
