I'm going to be buying new sub(s) in november. Right now I'm looking at getting any of these, 2 MTX thunder 7500s, 2 JL W3s, 1 JL W6, 2 Alpine SWR-1242D, or 2 audiobahn AW1200Ns. I dont know if I want 12s or 15s. I have a JL 500/1 amp. Anyone have any info on which I should get, or recommend another? Only wanting to spend $300ish...

I have 2 Alpine Type Rs with a 1200 watt HiFonics amp feeding them. Wow, they get loud and sound great.
I can tell you right now, the Audiobahns are absolute crap and MTX can get loud but won't sound as good as the W6 and the SWR. If I were you, I'd trim my selection down to the, W6 and SWR subs.

W6 all the way. JL makes way better subs than Alpine.

Yeah I have been looking into the type Rs, all the reviews are good, and alot of people have told me they are good subs, especially for the price. A friend of mine has the older version of the type Rs, and damn. So I'm going to get those, anyone know of a place that has 2 for cheaper than $260 with shipping..

I don't remember how much it was for shipping when I got mine, but they are $105 a piece at www.ikesound.com before shipping.
