Hey i have a 95 firebird 3800 V6, and when i was emptying out my engine coolant, beacuse i wanted to flush it and refill it i ran into a small problem,, that i have tried to work out for an hour and a half, and cudnt. I drained the radiator, with the drain plug and bleed screws, the this is where i got stuck, i found the left and right engine drain plugs under the exhaust intake manifold, ( my model has the knock sensor:( ), and i unplugged the knock sensorconnector from the knock sensor and then tried and tried and tried to get the knock sensor off and it cudnt get it???? HOW??? How does the damn thing come off? its says screw in the hayes manual but it surely aint screwing anywhere.??
Second when i went to do the knock sensor on the passenger side of the block there is like a frame or sum sort of thing in the way. idk what it is but its severly in the way of reaching the knock sensor, what is it and how can i get around it to the knock sensor???

Maybe instead of being a sarcastic prick, you could share with others what you did in case someone else runs into that problem...just my 2cents.

Sorry bot that i was just really f-ing frusterated with my car at that time, and had no clue what to do, but heres what you can do the passenger side knock sensor(aka block drain) this black peice of metal and then there is a whole looking up at the sensor. you can reach around the black metal frame or whatever it is and stick a socket on the sensor and then using an extension connect the sprocket to the socket through that whole looking up at the sensor. you wont be able to just reach up and around the black metal frame thingy and stick a wrench on it or anything cuz theres not enough room for your hand and the bolt is really tight. So yea, sorry bout being the prick.

That wouldn't help at all. There would still be coolant sitting in the block itself, which is why there are drain plugs on the block so you can get all of it out.
Wish I could help you out though man. But I have no experience with the 3.8, just on my 3.4. You could try posting your problem in the camaro forum. I'm sure you would get tons of responses being that the camaro forum is much more active.

if you get a hose, stick it in the top inlet, and let the water flow all the way out...wouldnt that get rid of the rest of the crap in the engine? or will it still not clean it O_o
cuz i know theres a dealership that just disconnects hose to do a coolant flush :P

That would be even harder... That's like saying that it's easier to just do an oil change by sucking all the oil out from the top. I mean really, they make drain plugs to make it easier for you.
