Let's Talk About... Clothes

I'm not sure how much into this kind of thing you guys will be, but I enjoy clothes. Nice clothes. Clothes that look good. I don't care, you can make your judgements, but if I'm materialistic about anything, it's clothing.
All my jeans are from either Express or Gap, they just look and fit so nicely.
T-shirts are the one area I really don't care where they're from, most of my shirts are band / concert tees, or some cheap ones from Target or something. I have a few t-shirts from H&M and Urban Outfitters, but they can be pretty expensive there for just a shirt.
I'm not really a fan of button up long sleeze shirts, but any ones I have are from Gap.
As for jackets, I've had one from Urban Outfitters that I'm in love with. I think this year it might not actually fit, but whatever. Other than that, I like to get a nice black, wool jacket from Gap or something.
Sweatshirts and Hoodies are some of my favorite things to wear, I have this really nice, thick one from Urban Outfitters that I wear constantly. It was actually in the new War of the Worlds movie, it's the brown one that Tom Cruise's black friend is wearing while they first see the tripod in that town. Look for it next time.
As for shoes, I'm not really big into having different pairs and matching them with what I wear. I have black dress shoes for dressy ocassions, and a pair of black Asics for everything else.
So, let's hear it.

I really don't care about clothes. I pretty much buy my stuff at value city. I usually wear khakis or jeans and as for shirts i either wear a shirt (like one that has buttons) or collered T-shirt or sweater. This summer I worked for as a consultant and our dress code said that I have to wear either a shirt from that company or from one of our vendors. So I ended up getting like 7 shirts for free.

Not much of a label basher myself. Got some cheap jeans (one pair black, mint condition, one pair faded, torn at the knees with patches due to age), some nice adidas. Don't care about t-shirts really. Got my nice Nismo jacket and 2 more of unknown brand, and planning on getting a nice Huffer (NZ label) hoodie, but they're pretty expensive. Wanna stock up on the NZ labels before I go overseas though.

Nice clothes are different than everyday clothes. As they say dress to impress, this basically applies to girls and job interviews. I've got a couple really nice suits and a bunch of nice shirt/ties/suspendors. But my everyday clothes basically consist of jeans and t-shirts all from marshalls or tj-max. Then got a few long-sleeved shirts and a few hoodies. But clothes are way too fucking expensive to be spending 60-80 on a pair of jeans and 20-40 on a god damned t-shirt. Peace-

These days, I find I am too old and too married to care too much about how I look.
So long as my clothes are comfortable and are appropriate for the situation, I'm good to go.

I like to look good. I like Polo (brand name and style) shirts, sneakers to match or compliment my outfit, nice t-shirts and other stuff. I had fallen into the married-guy bum look but my wife told me I looked awful too many times; I had to step my game up a bit. I'm not a metrosexual but I like to look nice. I don't spend a lot of money on what I wear. I like thrift stores and garage sales in better neighborhoods. Value City, T.J. Maxx, and A.J. Wright are my favorite haunts for cheap yet fashionable (enough for me) clothes. I'm a skinny guy so my clothes help in my appearance  Old Navy has the best clearance rack in the world: $3 jeans, you just can't go wrong!!

I generally like to take interest in clothes and what I wear and since I've dropped a clothes size I'm about to buy a whole lot more, but......
For Jeans I like Levis or Diesel (Levis, while I believe is a pretty down to earth working mans brand in the States is generally pretty fashionable in the rest of the world), my favourite jeans at the mo are the 570 cut (The Slouch straight), they fit perfectly no other word for it really, incredibly comfortable.
T Shirts, I just buy these from Barkers or Meccano which are NZ menswear stores about the equivalent of the GAP or Abercrombie. I also have a few Bolle and Calvin Klein T's because they really look damned nice. I go for Surfwear T's like Billabong/Rip Curl/Quicksilver I suppose, but not as much as I used to. I wear polo shirts a bit too, Ralph Lauren pwns at those.
I only have one jacket, which is from Rodd and Gunn (Another NZ Menswear store, this one's more outdoors/casual) it's awesome, it looks good but is also water proof and warm and only cost NZ$300
I don't care much for sweatshirts, I have wool jerseys or Zip up sweatshirts. Only other thing I wear is long sleeve button shirts- all from Barkers or Meccano, might get a really good one from Armani Jeans or something if I find something in the sales.
Shoes? I have one pair for dress, one for casual/every day (Air Force ones, GREAT shoes), one for running, one for long walks and I think that's it.
I hate cheap clothes like Hallensteins etc, all the crap assed polyester makes you feel like shit. If isn't 100% Cotton (Unless it's wool, then a little arcryllic doesn't matter), I won't buy it.

Pants: Shorts: Cargo from Pac Sun or Northface. Long: some semi baggy jeans (dunno brand), preppy Gap jeans, dockers for dressy occasions
Shoes: only nike sneakers all other brands are too wide, and New balance hurts my toes
Shirts: Mostly Bananna Republic T shirts with a mix of target brand for those messy jobs. Somtimes a sweater durring the winter. I stay away from anything with buttons unless it can't be avoided
Jacket: A Mountain hardware fleece/jacket for most of the winter for me. Sometime a hoodie, but i feel too white to wear one.

I'd say about 80% of my cloths are from Khol's. I really don't care about name brands or anything. If it's comfortable and looks okay, I'll wear it.

Speaking of clothing...I went into Abercrombie a while back with a lady friend of mine. I was looking around and I saw some jeans that had paint and dirt and rips all over on them, basically they look like the jeans I wear when I'm working around the house or after paintballing. I checked out the price...$80?!?!?!?!?! WTF is up with that?!?!? So if anyone wants some dirty jeans shoot me a PM I'll give ya a great deal compared to that $80.

I pretty much wear the same as you. Jeans and shirts from Express. I have a pair of jeans and a brown jacket from The Buckle. Probably get some hoodies from there this fall.
Shoes I usually go to Journey's. Steve Madden's, Adidas, etc. I need some new ones. Got my Kenny Coles for my nice dress. Really need a few more. Finding dress shoes that fit nice are hard when you have as narrow of a foot as mine. So in that category the best fitting are only the more expensive, which does suck.
Not to diss anyone if it's your style, but the popped collar looks stupid.

Shirts: All about the T-shirts. Not really a long sleeve guy since I'm 6' 5" and its hard to find ones that fit without being to big around. I like tight fitting shirts that of a decent length. Ecko, Adidas, Timberland to name a few
Jeans/Shorts: Couple of khacki shorts, but quite a few baggy jeans (not huge ass ones though)
Jacket: $75 jacket Quiksilver
Shoes: Same probably finding the ones I really want in a 14 or 15. Red White and BLue adidas's for most of the time. 2 year old blue and white worn converse (ol' buddies) mostly used for driving.
Acc: Silver Necklace

I love my gap worker jeans. Once they break in they are totally awesome. However, I wear them way too much and unforunately they wear out pretty fast :( Oh well I have gift cards so I can just buy more.

i would wear a nice 3 piece suit if i could.
other than that, i usually wear cordoroys(sp), or khakis without the huge cargo packet deals.
on top of that, i usually/always wear some kind of longsleeve shirt.
as for shoes, i wear hushpuppy type boots, they're not dress shoes but they are like conservative hiking boots.
but i generally like to dress nice, i like to look presentable; it makes me feel like i'm better than everyone else :)
Self improvement is masturbation.
I just dress in what i like, i have no general preference, i know i hate abercrombie....

I am a shoe freak (for a guy). I have 25+ pairs of shoes... Adidas, Diesel, Steve Madden, Sketchers, K-Swiss, Vans, etc. The more shoes you have, the longer they last/nicer they look. Some of my friends own ONE pair of shoes, and that drives me nuts because no matter what, they look ratty all the time.
I also like nice clothes, I'm not a brand whore, I just buy whatever looks decent wherever I find it. My clothes coordinate all the time (even down to my boxers when I can). Alot of my friends would describe me as Metrosexual if you asked them, but only with my clothing/appearance. Every other aspect of my life is bachelor-fabulous.
I also have 5 different watches (mostly Fossils) that I change depending on what I'm wearing...
That might all sound kinda gay, but I get alot of compliments from the ladies on my fashion sense. Scores a few extra points.

I hate cheap clothes like Hallensteins etc, all the crap assed polyester makes you feel like shit. If isn't 100% Cotton (Unless it's wool, then a little arcryllic doesn't matter), I won't buy it.
That's funny how different materials make people feel. I myself don't have a problem with cotton/polyester blend.
Got me a mint wool suit from Hallenstein's too :D

that all ? talk about "dressing down"
i wear what a i want an what i like, people see the logos to obscure clothing companies (hot tuna for example) an say shit about it. i dont care i mean they take the piss outa what i wear, but i dont always like what they wear. for example a guy at my college laughed at the hot tuna logo on my shirt, he'd never heard of it (few have). an the later that day got new shoes an was like "oh how cool are these ?" an i was like "hmm......yea, i dont like them, but that's my opinion, since i dress differently my opinions are different." i mean i have different tastes, i can only say stuff from my opinion an my views.
but i dont spend much money on clothes, i go buy from retail outlets cos its cheaper that stores (up to 70% price decrease) so i wear what i think suits me an what i like, i dont care what others say about it.
if you dont like how i dress, though shit. go dress how you want, but there's no need to go complain to me about how i dress.

I wear Levi 550 jeans (I NEVER wear shorts in public). I like 'em, they fit good, and I get them on sale, and they come in my size (29x34's) T-shirt, a sweat/paint stained hat (yes, I put those sweat stains in there). And on days I look a little nicer I wear jeans, white T tucked in under a button down longsleeve(rolled up sleves) or a buttondown shortsleve shirt.
I have 2 pairs of shoes, work boots(Ariat boots, awsome pair of shoes right there) and a pair of tennis shoes.

As far as clothes, I've never been rich enough to buy really expensive clothes. But now that I have a job, I do treat myself and buy nice things. So, I wear a lot of American Eagle and stuff like that.
