Surge/Hesitation, Stalling, Flickering

I have a 92 3.1L v6 with 185k miles on it, and shortly after I bought it from, you guessed it, a little old lady in a small town, I encountered a couple of problems with it.

I braked really hard in a traffic jam, and obliterated the brake pads. I was on my way to work, and had to drive the rest of the day with grating noises. Got that fixed, but during the time I was driving with the toasted pads, I noticed the headlight started to flicker whenever I'd depress the brake pedal, just for a split second. I didn't think anything of it, until...

A short time after, the idle became rough. Soon after that I noticed it started to hesitatate and surge (speedometer would raise at stop lights, etc), and I could notice it shuddering a bit sometimes when I'd let off the gas on the highway. It's become progressively worse, and the interior lights and headlights flicker quite a bit, almost non-stop now. The surging is pretty bad (up to the 10mph mark sometimes), and the driving, while at first was still smooth, is starting to feel a little rough.

Also, when first starting the car, when idling at first, it'll die from time time. Revving of course keeps it from happening, while I'm revving at least. It hasn't stalled at any stop lights, or while driving.

A friend and I replaced the spark plugs and wires, which didn't help anything. I've ran fuel injector cleaner through a couple of times, but if anything it seems to be worse now.

Any ideas? ECU? Fuel Injectors beyond hope? Electrical short? I'm not knowledgeable at all about issues like these.

Eek.

I'd start grabbing wiring and pulling, twisting, while the motor is running, see if you can get a reaction from it. If so, you'd know the general area where your problem is.

Are the roll restrictors on the front of the motor intact? Lots of those earlier ones they'd break real easy, and let the motor flop around. Maybe the hard stop flipped it hard enough to pull something loose or strain it. Just a theory, brainstorming. Trying to put the hard braking and beginning of the syptoms together.
