I believe spring slap

Hi all,
I've posted this before but nobody responded. It's driving me crazy, that rattle or slap when I go over rough streets. The springs look a bit dry (Denver car) but anyone have the same problem ? What can be done besides replacing them. Seems to get worse, the warmer it gets from driving awhile. Short trips it doesn't seem as bad.

I have an 01 Sierra with the same problem. The problem is the leaf spring pads there this this crappy round plastic pad the is suppose to be between the bottom leaf and the next one up. I have replaced them several times and and $16 a pop well I just gave up. I have a c1500 and carry around about 1000lbs of tools and have a hard top lid, so I guess Im pushing the weight issue, I am going to buy some beefier springs after I repair all the other things first.
