currently I have 2 12 kenwood W3003 (or somethin like that) they are the blue "tornado" speakers mounted in a sealed box. They are powered by a Crunch Power One 400 watt 1 ohm stable amp. Before this cheap swap shop amp I used to think crunch = crap, but for the price i paid it has done me more than well. It seems that it is made a bit better than the driver series...anyways. I am selling the entire thing (amp, box, and both 12's) to my brother for about $250...should I ask for more? and now I am looking for suggestions for the new setup. I don't wanna go spending a sh*t load of money, but I am looking for somethin a bit stronger. The kenwoods were nice even though the spl wasn't the highest, sq was good considering. I have listened to a friend of mines audiobahns and I don't like the way they sounded in a sealed box...I listen to various kinds of music and for something like D&B or Ska they just seem like they'd work well. Ideas?
Is the whole point of DVC just for bringing down the ohm level? IE: a 4ohm dvc sub wired parallel to a single chanel = 1ohm and max power etc?

And what do you mean the whole point? Its a voicecoil... If I were you I would take a peek at MA Audio -- their 2002 stuff is off the hook!

I actually think $250 is a lot for what you're giving him.
