This has nothing to do with a car. My internet was down the other day and somehow I got it back working. I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser. Well when I started up my computer agian and click on firefox to open it up, it came up with a box that asked what profile I wanted and I accidently shose the wrong one and the box that says dont ask this each time open up mozilla. Well I ended up choosing the wrong one and none of my hundreds of bookmarks are there. How do I get it back to normal? :(

i dont know much abt computer... i normally do my system restore to restore to earlier time. i do it sometimes, when my daughter get on my pc and i was not sure if she actually messed up the computer.

so try it and restore to the day before your pc was down and see what goes on. let me know if it helps in any way.

I've tried doing a system restore, and it says it cannot because no major changes have been made to your computer.

Ok I got them back. I had to search hi and low on my computer for the bookmark folder. Thanks craz for the suggestion.

another thing you might try in the future is doing a google search for Windows forums, man, you'd be surprised what you can learn just by looking through those for a few minutes

Next time you get the "Choose default profile" screen, cancel out, open up task manager and kill all firefox.exe processes. You have a hung process locking the profile so that is why it ask you to chose a different one.

Firefox has the search bar built in to it's toolbar with pretty google, yahoo, ebay, dictionary.com, amazon, and createive commons search. It has no popups which is totally awesome.
