Has anyone seen this collection that is being released??
The Mythology is Chris Carter’s visionary story arc of “The X-Files” comprised of 60 episodes from all nine seasons of the show. It's very interesting, and the best way to understand
those histories.
They already released two collections, and the third one, "Colonization" came out on dvd on Sept. 27th ...
In The X-Files Mythology: Colonization, Mulder’s search for the truth suddenly seems near its end when he and Scully meet Cassandra Spender. A multiple abductee, Cassandra
believes that aliens came to Earth on a mission that has somehow gone terribly wrong. Her theory is confirmed when Krycek reveals that three abduction sites were beacons for alien
colonization and the death and destruction at those sites were caused by a small alien rebel force. Determined to prevent the colonization of Earth, this force is also eliminating all proof
that an alien presence was ever on the planet. Unfortunately for Mulder, his quest for the truth has made him part of the proof which must be eliminated.

i loved X-Files... used to look forward to it every week.
one of my favourites was where they were in a logging camp, a tree was sawed down and it released these nocturnal cannibal insects.
didn't watch it much after Duchovny left though.

Yeah that was a good one. It was like a B horror movie, it was great.
These new DVDs just seem like a marketing scam. I mean, all the seasons are already on DVD, why do we need another set? The sets already cost fucking $90 a season

My wife is an X-Files freak !!!!!!!
She has all the seasons on DVD and from what she has told me, the Mythology pack is all of the episodes that deal with the main storyline from all seasons combined into one package.
Yeah, it is a marketing scam but it is no worse then the Star Wars bunch of movies. What until the "Utlimate Star Wars collection" comes out. All six movies with all extras, cut scenes, etc. Talk about a rip off. I have bought each one once ... no more after that.
Oh yeah ... my favourite episode is a toss-up between "Tombs" episodes, the one show with Brad Douriff and the vitural gaming show. I'm not too sure what the episodes names are ... I suppose I could go into the fire-proof safe and find the names. I told you my wife was an X-Files freak ... right? All the DVDs are in our fire-proof safe behind lock & key ... no kidding !!!!

I wanted to buy the x-files dvds. So should I skip that Mythology collection and just go for the season sets or what? And how many sets are there? Thanks.

I think there are 10 seasons ... so there will be 10 box sets. The box sets are the entire X-File collection with all the episodes. While the Mythology set is just the shows that deals with the main alien storyline.
If you are an X-Files fanantic, get the season box sets. They include all the shows in the Mythology set.

10 sets?!?! If eversio is not exaggerating, that will be $900... I guess it's one set at a time for me. Thanks dugie.

My wife has spent about $100 to $120 for each box set. She got them when they hit the video shelves. That is one reason why they are in or safe.
