approaching timing belt change time

I'm approaching 75,000 miles on my jdm h22a, and I was wondering, if the timing on my engine is off, (say b/c of belt stretch or skipping), would that cause my engine to knock? and also, where can I find a knock sensor for cheaper than $40+, or should i just pull 1 from a junkyard? my external coil problem from the h23 is starting to show, it cracked the sensor plug(not completely broke) and the plug wiggles around in place
Actually, I'm not sure which plug/sensor is cracked. It is the plug directly under the distributor, next to the ECT(engine coolant temp.) sensor. I apologize for making this so damn long, my bad. :screwy:

It'll make it sound like its knocking, but its just your valvetrain out of wack.

You can get a knock sensor from any OBDI vtec motor from a junkyard, but to tell you the truth, i would buy a new one. They are 100 bux from an auto parts store.

So you are saying that the plastic on the cap is cracked? Thats no good man, spend 10 bux and get a new distributer cap.
