Now, I am referring to a 1990 1500 with a 350 engine.... In my limited experience, usually cars will be set up so that if you turn the key so many times to the on position then off and hit the brake (you know, all the little steps you need to take), you can get the dash lights (or a light somewhere) to flash corresponding computer codes to diagnose an issue with the vehicle... Is this true with this truck?? If so, would anyone be kind enough to lead me in the correct direction to get the information... Thanks so much!!!!

You need to jumper pins A and B on the Data Link Connector. See http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/
On that same page, you will see a link that will list all the trouble codes for your Vin K 350.
I also have a 90 K1500 with a 350/700R4. I also own the complete set of factory service manuals for it. So if you find the code (or codes) post the results and I am sure someone will be able to give you a hand.
