Clio RXE - Cobra Alarm

My daughter has a S plate RXE 1.6 which has a Cobra/Renault alarm fitted, which I realise is not working - as there are no flashing lights or bleeps when the car is locked.
Anyone know anything about these and how to troubleshoot it?

Also some of the segments on the radio head up display are fading. again any ideas?
