1992 ranger 3.0 Where is the oil sending unit?

There are 2 of them -- go to autozone.com and you can find the locations.

One is for the level and one is for the pressure. (This really floored me).

If I have it right, the pressure sensor is a switch and always reads normal or zero. Because of this, they needed a level sensor. My 91 burns
a quart every 1500 miles, and if I'm not on the stick adding oil, I get a low oil light -- but the pressure says OK

The 92 3.0 vulcan engines have a oil sensor that located on the back of the engine kind of close to where the tranny connects. You ever notice that your oil guage bearly moves? well this is because its programed not to unless your oil pressure drops below 6 pounds which means you would probably blow your engine before that thing ever went down. I read on a website (Dont remember which one) that you can bypass a lil circut that causes that so it will be more accurate but i forgot how to do it.
