Do you ever give people the finger while driving? :thefinger I don't like to do it because I always feel like it makes me look like an ass.
Does it piss you off if someone else does it to you? I wouldn't know because no one ever did it to me, haha. What do you think?

I only seem to give people the finger when I get on I459 coming home from work around Birmingham. I never use my horn; just roll the window down, yell out dumb-f*** and hit 'em with the bird. 5 o'clock seems to make people idiots around here.

If it is deserved than it goes up, with or without a combo of "get the fuck off the road, moron!!!!" and honking. I don't care if people flip me off because i may have deserved or not. Peace-

I don't do it because it's not a good idea. All it does is cause road rage.

Sometimes, but usually I find that a sarcastic thumbs up and a smile is far more effective. That really pisses them off.

i've been in the car with a mate in London, and driving through Childs Hill (Crayzayjay might know the area) and some kinds in a cheap ford swung round a bend in front of us, cutting us up an causing my mate to have to slam on the brakes an clutch to stop us hitting them. then when he got alongside them (stupid really) on a part of finchley road heading towards golders green he gave one the finger an one kind in the back got pissed an threw empy beer bottles an cans out the window at us.
i dont think i'd give someone the finger (except cyclists) beacuse its kinda pointless in my opinion, it wont stop them doing stupid stuff, i'd just give a sarcastic smile an two thumbs up to piss them off, or use some huge air-horn (like a train's one) like they use in that video on here somewhere.

Hardly ever. I don't get pissed whenever I get the finger driving. I usually get pissed at myself for making stupid moves in traffic, but most of the time it's their fault, and I just wave em' off.
One time however, I was going to make a right turn, and I hit my brakes abrubtly, at the stop line because I saw this guys truck at the last minute (not even close to hitting him). When he went by me he waved his index finger side to side (telling me no) like I was a fucking child. THAT pissed me off, and I chased after him yelling "fuck you" , and giving him the finger. Everyone has that one moment.

I find that a cheesy grin and extra cheesy wave pisses other drivers off more. So I do that instead.

Last Sat. night goin on a beer run am following a red car and he stops at a red light, with his right turn signal on, now it's a red of course, but there is NO one coming and he doesn't go, kinda pisses me off but oh well, then it turns green....10 seconds go by, he's not moving, honk horn, 5 seconds, he slowly goes out, i go out in the other lane and my sis proceeds to flick him off, then he(very funny) looks at us and flicks us off with both hands while sticking his tongue out like Gene Simmons. That was well worth flicking him off :grinno:

I don't give the finger. I just piss people off other ways when they seem like they must get to their destination right that second. One thing that irritates me. Your on a 2 lane road. Passing is allowed the whole length. A person comes up behind you and instead of simply going around they ride right up on your ass and stay there. I'm like :wtf: just go around. So I just tap my brakes a few times and they usually go around. But when I am on a road where you can't pass but they ride up on me I just let go of the gas and drop my speed by 5 mph. I drop 5 every few seconds until they back off or go around. I did that on a 2 lane road once and the guy stayed behind me until I was going 20. It was 55 mph speed limit and he could just go around. Of course he flicked me off and sped away but I'm thinking "Why stay back there so long?"
Also people that ride your ass or rush past you and cut you off only to take a turn left that was right up ahead maybe 50 feet.

What's with this "flicking" someone off? I always thought it was "flipping" them off, as in "flip them the bird." Not much difference I guess.

I rarely do, but when my brother is in my car, he does it all the time.
I sometimes worry that he might do it to the wrong person and get us road raged upon. But most of the time, I don't care that he does it, because it keeps me from getting angry behind the wheel. It is hard to stay angry when you are laughing so hard. :thefinger :iceslolan

ok so here's a story bout this of my dad :D;
my dad's stopping at a redlight (back in the 80's), and a trailer pulls up beside him in the second lane, so that he cant see the red light. Then the light switches t ogreen but my dad cant see it, cause the trailer's in the way. Then a car behind him starts honking like hell and he hears something like 'move oyu dumbass its green' .. so my dad put his arm out the open window and gives a clear finger to the car behind and then drives along. 5minutes later in a 3lane road that same car drives up beside him, inside theres 2black guys, one white, waving with butterflies and a broken bottle looking fucking mad. On the other side of the road, a '70s camaro filled with big MC's shouting that he shouldn't mess with those guys. So my dad tends too flee, go off the main road into some middleclass block. Dead end road. He turns around and dead ahead's the other car. The guys in the other car gets out of the car, start waving their butterflies as they near my dad's car. Then my dad had it, he shifts down, roaring his hotted V6 and bursts towards them without any means of stopping, they quickly avoids him and my dad safely drives home. All that because of the shown finger. Never happened again.

I used to do it all the time nowI dont do it at all. A detec(not knowing it was a cop) cut me off so I flipped the bird and then the next thing I new I was getting a ticket. He was nice and wrote it as an out lisence plate light. That is a 55 dollar equipment faliure in NYS so I went and forged a bill that I fixed being that I fixed it myself. I got of scotch free. Just maybe 1 dollar in gas for running around for the bulb and writing the bill.
