I was told to replace my radiator cap with a 7 to 8 pound cap. They say that it is easier on the system because you don't know have that 15 pounds of pressure blowing out everything. He also said it is easier on your intake gaskets and such. Any thoughts or opinions???

Keep the 15 psi cap. Lower pressure will lower the boiling point of your coolant.

Why would GM put the wrong cap on? Doesnt make sense.

it actually should have a 16lb but 15 is good enough. just replace it with a non-acdelco 15-16lb cap and ur good to go :bigthumb:
