hi guys..

today while l was driving ( not crazy, like an old lady) l heard a huge noise from under my transmission.. l dont know how to explain..

l have a 97 formula automatic transmission. when l hit the accelerator a little bit more, l hear and feel a huge noise from under my transmission, whatever is it l do not know, but it is making me crazy.. when l hit the accelerator slowly, it doesnt happen, when l hit the accelerator it makes a huge noise like ''GUMP' l feel it. Something is hitting some other thing real fast. have you ever heard something like that??

what could it be? if you couldnt understand what l said excatly, feel free, ask me question, l will try my best to answer and explain..

l hope you will be able to at least tell me my problem.. l hope oit is not big, cuz l already spent my all modey on this car and still not good.

thank you.

sounds like the tranny mount as mentioned previously.

you should purchase an aftermarket transmission mount, one that is a polyurethane mount. It'll be much stronger than the factory soft rubber mount.

it'll hold your trans in place much better and last longer, too.

Also How Much A Transmission Mount For 97 Firebird??

I Just Talked To A Pontiac Dealer, They Told Me That They Would Install The Transmission Mount For 70 Bucks. So If I Know How Much Is The Tranny Mount Then I Will Know How Much Will I Spend. I Really Got Tired Of Spending Money On My Car.

Thank You..

A tranny mount is real easy to change but I would use a poly unit on the swap so you don't wind up changing another one a year or two down the road.
