Considering cars to buy

I'm 18 and I've been looking for a new (used) car for a bit now and ive narrowed down my choices and prioritized a bit. id like to hear what you guys think and any thoughts or things i may have overlooked.
im looking at a couple options right now. in no particular order, 87+ rx7, 91+ mr2 (id like a turbo but those are running pretty high these days), late 80's corolla sr-5 or gts (ae86) and 240sx. Im drawn to the mr2 turbo if i could find one for less than 10k but that is seeming less and less likely. not sure about the availibility of an rx7 turbo so if someone could fill me in on that I'd appreciate it.
I'm very open to suggestiongs. My conditions are: rwd or awd, good gas milage, modable and reliable. price range: <10k but preferably closer to about 8. The car would have to be my daily driver but I like to have a car that I can work on and have some fun in. Thanks!
