hey guys, i want to know if the 4 door civic (1988) seat will fit into a hatch (1989). my civic is missing one seat and someone is willing to sell it to me for cheap. i want to know if they will bolt right on to the car or i will need modification.

have i ever tried it? no. unfortunatly our 1 hatch has racing seats and the other hatch integra seats. i inspected a sedan. it looks really close. the only thing that might be different is the outside rail on the sedan seat. it's worth a try, shouldn't be much modification. if the guy is willing to sell it cheap then ask if you can just try setting it into place to see how close it is.
i know crx seats are not as wide as hatch seats...there is a slight chance that sedan seats are wider than hatch, but i doubt it.

I've done it, and the sedan seats are wider than the hatch. It will only line up on the inside, I drilled a hole for the bolt on the outer front to get more secure, but you'll have to make a custom bracket if you want to bolt up the outer rear.
