99 Tahoe - Interior/Dome light problem

Over the weekend, I started noticing that my interior light/dome light will not turn off after getting out of the truck. Only way I can get it to cut off is if I press the Dome Overide button. While driving this morning the Dome Overide button was not engaged and the lights blinked on and off a couple of times. Maybe a dreaded short or some kind of bad switch. Anybody else experienced this problem before?

I have the same exact problem with mine. any clue?
