Galant's, Any chronic problems? especially the 2002

Hello, I am new to this forum.
I am considering buying a Galant to replace my failing 1985 Monte Carlo.
I am confused and overwelmed by the mass of information on the internet about chronic problems with certain models of cars.
Can anyone tell me of the most reliable year between 1997 & 2001 ?
If there is a certain year, Are there any chronic problems that I should be aware of? I would greatly appreciate any advice that anyone can give me.
