Hello, I am new to this forum.
I am considering replacing my failing 1985 Chev. Monte Carlo. with a Civic between 1996 & 2000.
But, I need help. I have read much on the internet, but it is overwelming & confusing.
Is there anyone that can advise me on which year is the most reliable?
If there is a certain year, are there any Chronic problems that I should be aware of?
I know nothing about fixing cars.
I would greatly appreciate any help that any of you can give me.
Thank you,
Clyde Howell

Not really Hondas are damn well made and hold up for ages and ages!
They are starting to get years up so make sure things like T-belt brakes etc have been done or get it cheap and have it done yourself.

I would recommend a honda civic any day... they are really good cars. I've had two. If you buy a civic, try to buy one with a B-Series in it. You wont be dissapointed.

I bought a 2000 civic with 82000 miles on it. Now it has 95000 a year later. I've never had to replace anything (other than oil and filters). These cars will last almost forever without much other than reg maintenance. Of course certain parts have a milage limit like the timing belt and so on. Buy one and you'll never regret it.
