I have had my 1994 cutlass supreme for about 3 years with no problems. It has just started with a battery draining problem. It will be ok all week if it is driven daily, but if it sits for a day without being driven the battery is dead. I first of all thought it may be the battery, so I replaced that. That did not help. By the weekend it was again dead. Can anyone please help me? I am so frustrated. What ever informational help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Any battery drain is caused by something pulling voltage. If it drains as fast as you say there may be a light on somewhere in the car. Check the glove box, trunk light, under hood light. If they are all off when they should be you will need to do a systematic test by checking each circuit. To do this pull each fuse and check the circuit with a volt meter to see if there is any draw on that particular circuit. This takes time and if you have a dealer do it, it will cost a lot of money.

did you check the alternatorWe just weren't sure if it was the alternator or not. As of yesterday it would not charge at all, so we did buy a new alternator today, We have not put it on yet. Hopefully that will take care of the problem. If not, I suppose we will have to take it in and have a mechanic check it. Yikes that could be very costly. Thanks for the info. I will let you know if that does work. Thanks again.

My husband started to try and isolate the draw. I made him take it to work yesterday and it would not start at all even after the battery being charged all night. We have purchased an alternator, I am truly hoping this will take care of the problem. If not I imagine we will have to take it in to a mechanic to isolate the problem, my husband's schedule is grulling and does not allow alot of time to work on vehicles anymore. Yikes.............Thanks for the info, I sure hope the alternator will solve my problem.
