Has anyone ever tried balancing beads in their tires?

never heard of them. if they just sit in the tires, wouldnt they not work and just bounce around while the tire spins?

never heard of them. if they just sit in the tires, wouldnt they not work and just bounce around while the tire spins? There are a number of websites that discuss how they work. Here are a couple of them:

I thought I might try them but I wanted to know if anyone else had any experience with them.

BB's, sand, golf balls...they all work. some better than others. My buddy runs 6 golf balls per tire in his 36" bias ply TSL's. It rides as smooth as glass on the highway.

Stay away from "equal"...it clumps up.

Well, I bought some #7 steel shot (.100 Dia and perfectly round) and put 4 oz. in each tire through the valve stem. WOW! talk about smoooooooth. My tires were already balanced and I thought they rode well. With the shot in them, the wheel is much firmer and bumps in the road don't seem to be as rough. I definitely recommend this!!!
