Stupid question...

Hi, Im not a very experienced person with cars besides I work on stereos and that type of theing, but could someone give me a detailed set of instructions on how to bleed brakes? I feel stupid asking, but I need to get it done... Please help me

hey GotKnutz I dont know what year or motor, but the best way is go get a bleeder kit from a Parts store, it will hav instrucktions. There is a certain order to bleed the brakes also on GA's. Start at the Right(pass side) rear, then left front, then left rear and finally the right front. This proceedure is to correctly remove air in the lines.
Remember safty first. This is a very important safty feature and if you screw it up the car may fail to stop and accidents may occure. I dont mean to soundd like a service anoucement, but breaks arent for everyone, and I dont know your skill level for mechanical jobs.
If you dont want to buy the bleeder kit, then you will need someone to pump the brakes up, and hold the pedal down. Now while the pedal is held down you need to open the bleeder valve slowly and watch for airbubbles and or dirty fluid then close the valve tight.(dont let the pedal up until the valve is closed or more air will get in the lines than you started with) THis may need to be done several times at each wheel in the order I stated above. After every wheel bleed, check the brake fluid resivour and top off the fluid as needed.
You will need to probley jack the car up and use a jack-stand so it doesnt fall on ur head :( Unless you are tiny and can fit under the car. the back breaks are the more difficult, removing the wheels helps geting in there to those tiny places. XI
