anybody ever heard of this???

I was thinking....(dangerous I know)


When I go tan, I hate using goggles because they leave the dreaded "raccoon eyes". But you aren't supposed to tan without the goggles becasue your eyelid is too thin to protect your eye from the UV light. So why don't they make contacts that block UV light so you can tan without the goggles?? Anybody ever heard of this??


edit: spoke too soon, they do have uv blocking contacts.....(dang, I almost had my million dollar idea)

Yip, my Contacts have a degree of UV block in them, but its not at 100% which is what you need in a taning bed thingy.

But why go to the trouble of spending all that money when theres this called the sun out side, and guess what, its free!

Yea I know, my girlfriend tans outside, but she has to sit out like
thirty minutes a day...it only takes me five minutes in the tanning bed. Plus she's got tan lines, has to take a shower afterwards because it's so damn hot out here in texas, and the sun is so bright she has to wear shades, so she has the classic lines going down the side of her temples from them. I guess you pay for convenience.

I don't tan, myself. It's hot, boring, and takes too much time. I guess I'll be glad when I'm 40.

I have a mate who tans regulary, but he's about as Gay as you can get.


And damn, I wish I could spend 30mins in the sun in summer and only just get tanned.

I just get tan while working when I'm sitting under an umbrella and wearing 50 spf+ sunscreen.

Skin cancer runs on both sides of tangie's family, so no more tan for tangie. :(


I guess I'll just be one of those nice peaches and cream "old school" complections from back in the day of Beethoven...

i saw a story on tanning in tanning beds on the news. there was a lady who used a bed and got skin cancer on her nose. so i guess there's risk to using a tanning bed over the good ol' sun.

Tanning in NZ is a joke, I go outside in summer and get burnt in 5 minutes. I hate have red hair, and the bloodly genes that it gives you.

I'm so dang sick of hearing that crap is bad for you. Red meat is bad for you, the sun is bad for you, tanning beds are even worse for you.... hell every day they come out with something new that is bad for you. Guess what..I don't care. I take care of myself. I stay in shape, and if I am killing myself by eating a big fat chocolate ice cream sundae then so be it.

That is nonsense. The man died because he was 97 f***ing years old. Living those extra few years at the end just isn't worth enough to not live my life the way I want. I mean, don't be stupid about it, but live your life.

Back on the subject of tanning, I only go like 3 times a week, just enough to keep a tan.

NO WAY!!!!! The natural tans of hispanic chicks are the best. I do agree that white girls that go out and sit under tanning beds look.........just terrible. Their complexion is totally off, especially when they're blonde. Looks :apuke: If they're goin to get a tan they should get it right. That's what the sun is for.

I don't need to worry about tanning. I'm hispanic so when I'm outside, I just get darker........without sunblock. You whiter people though.............BEWARE THE SUN!!!!!!! :sun: :newburn: :sun:
