00 camaro v6 vs 06 cadillac cts w/ manual shift option

ok well my spoiled ass cousin just got an 06 cts with the manual shift option and the 3.6 l 255 hp v6. The car weighs about 3800-3900 pounds. He is coming home next weekend and we are going to race. At that time my 2000 v6 camaro automatic with 19k will have a flowmaster 80 series muffler and resignator with k and n air intake also. Do i remotely have a shot at this, my car is 400 pounds or so lighter, doesnt spin off the line, i have very wide tires in the back. I dotn wanna get shown up of it wont be close

I would say FWD, but who knows. Im pretty sure he'll win though, not by alot but he should win.

The CTS is rwd, has 252lb-ft and as I much as I hate to say it, he should beat you.

if hes a good driver he will take it by a little, I think, stock for stock. They probably have sorta shitty gearing, and are heavy. It wont be by much tho, let us know how it goes

Yeah I bet that the gearing on that thing is made to not race, if it's luxury anyway. If not, you're screwed.

Yeah.. put some intake and exhaust mods on your car since its the cheapest thing to do and take out the rear seats of your car and you'll get em!

My Dad has one of these cars. 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. This thing is no slug, pretty fast for a V6 luxo car. BTW it is rwd, and he will own you.

no dude the bmw m5 has a v10 5.0 litre (wtf thats a small v 10 lol) aluminum block and heads, 4 valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, compression is 12.0:1, it has a 7 speed sequential manual trans. 0 to 62mph in 4.7 sec. top speed is over 190 easily but has a limiter at 155. 384 ft pds of torque and 500 horsepower. and its a 4 door coupe. all that info came from automobile mag. the november 2004 issue
