Does anyone know how to program the keyless entry on a 95 jimmy? i bought a remote and the dealer attempted to program it with a computer but it did not work and said to comeback another time. Just wanted to know if it was possible to do it myself. Thanks in advance.

depending on the brand the only way to get it programed might be by the dealer that you got it from... if you search google for the brand that you have in there... (sould say on the pad) might tell you from there site...

its an OEM remote, not aftermarket. my truck came equipt with keyless entry but the previous owner lost the remote so i got a replacement. i bought the remote from the same dealer who tried to program it. i just wanted to know if it is possible for me to program it myself because this dealer's service is not exactly quick. i know on newer blazers/jimmys you can program it urself.

Try this:

Drop the lower driver side kick panel, you will see a red connector not connected to anything. (The black box you find is the actuall keyless entry unit) In the red connector you will see 2 pins.. Use something (such as a pair of needlenose pliers or paperclip) to connect the pins together. (This must be done with the door closed) The locks will cycle and you will be in programming mode. (maintain the connection on the pins) Press and hold the unlock button on the remote till the locks cycle again. Your remote is now programmed..
