Heres the deal:

B16a OBD0 complete changeover = $1200

optional:
LSD: +$300
SiR front end conversion: +$500

I thought it was pretty good and the miles on the motor are between 30k-45k...what do you guys think? Is the LSD worth the extra $$$? And how about the front end? Well just wanted to know your opionions and what you would get...

do you race ? if you dont race, no need for lsd. for the front end, i always say do you want bumper lights that wrap around and a hood that raises, cause thats what your getting pretty much

is that complete change over a full swap, with mounts and all? dont be fooled by a place that sells "full swaps" when you still need to get mounts and linkage which can add up to an extra 500 bucks. But either way, if its with mounts and linakge, its a steal, if its not, its still a decent price. Also lsd is nice, if you plan on racing it will help alot with your launches. if I go with a b16 again ill get a lsd trans this time. And the front end is just for looks, if you have the money, sure do it if you like it, if you are doing this on a budget, then skip it and put some extra money towards fresh parts for your new motor, like a timing belt, water pump, oil pump, headgasket and head studs.

yea actually i was planning on racing it but i like the SiR front end and i should get performance first but i cant make up my mind...how much should a lsd lower my 1/4 times with just the basic bolt ons?...it says its a full swap so it should come with everything i need for install...how hard is this swap? i have the engine lift and all the necessary tools(im pretty sure i do) + a few friends to help...also what kind of gas should i be putting in and what oil do you guys prefer?

lsd works as well as you work it. if you dont know how to launch a car you're still going to get alot of wheel spin.

you have to run premium gas and id run 10w-30

swap is rather easy. if you have a dx or std its sligtly harder, but not much, just have to wire it for mpfi.

where are you getting the swap from? youre probably going to need mounts and linkage still if its from a normal importer.

the swap is coming from this guy who owns a shop called GS Motorsports and its in Irving, TX...thats about 30 minutes from where i live and ive never seen the whole swap myself but he says that its a COMPLETE swap...im going to check myself if i have the time but just wanted to know what your opinions were...he can also get me a/c but i dont need it just yet...

premium fuel isnt nessicary unless hes running high compression or f/i. people get confused about premium fuel so for those of you heres how it works. the higher the octane the lower the combustibility is, so actually using 91+ gas in a normal car actually lowers your performance. the biggest reason for premium fuel is to prevent detionation caused by high heat motors.

What the fuck do you think a b16 is? you think its a low compression motor at 10.2:1? i dont think so. its not a super high comp motor, but its definetly not low. Over in japan and europe where that motor is from they dont even have 87 octane fule. you think the knock sensor is going to like 87 octane running in it and causing pre ignition? no.

do some research before trying to tell me im wrong.

that motor doesnt produce near enough hear unless your rapping it up to redline in every gear to cause detonation, but i guess since thats the only spot you make power you dont have any other choice

You're a complete fool if you think 91 isn't necessary ina B16a....

Anyway, I use good quality 5w30 but I suppose it gets a bit cooler up here.
