Compression Numbers

What are healthy compression numbers for a 1996 LSi 1.0 3 cylinder? I get 127-128-128 psi. I know that they're even and that's great, but what were they when the car was new? 200 psi? Thanks for the input.

warm the engine up before you check compression. pull all the plugs at one. hold throttle open partway while you crank it. compression should be 170psi per hole or better

That's what I did except I did it WOT (read it somewhere online). I guess the engine's simply dying. Thanks for your input.

The Haynes manuel says the compression should be 199lbs with a minimum of 156lbs.

Thanks for that. I have the Chilton's manual and it does not say anywhere about the compression numbers. I went through that useless book three times. I guess the ol' Geo doesn't have much life left. Thanks again.
