I have a 2004 aveo hatchback, and I am looking for good racing mods. I already have a custom body kit, cold air intake, dual exauhst, and a shifting chip. I was just having trouble finding good shops to buy quality parts. Any help would be great. Thanks

Can you get me more info on the Dual Exhaust and the cold air intake for the Aveo?

If i were u i would sell that exhaust and put a single one on. Only because the dual can actually take away hp which most likely is the case.

I can't find companies that stock anything aveo. :banghead: Let alone know where to start with it. I'm thinking about starting with either the suspension, an air intake, or an exhuast system. Any suggestions as to where to start, so I don't spin my wheels.

I just started with new wheels. visit http://www.edgeracing.com/2004/Chevrolet/Aveo/ . of course, the 2004 can be changed. then just shop for something nice. I'm getting the Enkei Rp02 17" package for about 600.

why buy one of those though when they are so simple to make for a fraction of the price?

Has anyone put an Aveo on the dyno after adding a performance air intake? Or any of the engine/power mods?

i would imagine that the aveo on a dyno with a air intake might hit 90hp to the wheel. i beleive a stock aveo has 87 hp to the wheel or somewhere around there. but the power to weight ratio is damn good.

im thinkin its prolly one of those resistor module thingies you can get on e-bay. there is quite a bit of controversy over them as to whether they work or not. i dont know tho as i have never tried em. but you can pick em up off e-bay for like 20 bucks. its your risk and your $20 if you want to try it or not. i was thinkin about it but i kind of shyed away from it.

I installed a K&N Cone air filter #RU-3610 , for a very effective cold air intake, after removing the entire airbox. This is a HUGE air filter. It filled the space of the air box and is a perfect fit onto the oxygen sensor tube. I paid $50.00 Canadian. I also removed the negative battery cable, and reconnected it, so the ECU would recognize the change. The change in acceleration is huge and very surprising! It also makes good grumbling sound on acceleration. I think the large size of the air filter, and the lack of tubing, is allowing a large volume of air into the intake. I did this before with another Aveo, using a smaller cone filter from RAid. The results were poor and only slightly better acceleration. I also ported a silicone line from a shielded cone high flow filter into the fender air port for a true cold air intake. Again. poor results. If you want an easy inexpensive boost in power, remove the air box, and attach the K&N #RU-3610.
