BMW Newbie, Performance Help

Hi I'm new to the BMW. I recently bought an 89 535i and was searching online for performance and body parts. I didn't find much for the 535i, but quite a few for the 525i. I was wondering if these 525 parts will work just as well for my 535. If not, does anyone have any suggestions or websites or where I could get some help on this??

This may be helpful, the 89 535i has an M30 engine, the 525i an M20. I am not sure of how different they really are. Hope this helps...

Not too many engine parts swap out with each other. The 3.5 is already a strong runner. You may want to consider a performance chip either from Jim Conforti or Mark D'Sylva (E.A.T.), my money is on the EAT chip. Body parts are almost all the same across all of the e34 5 series cars, subtle changes here and there, but they'll still fit. Electronics are mostly the same too (except for the engines), lots of stuff from the e32 7 series car fit too. There are quite a few suspension mods out there that will work well on your car.
