Hey guys. 91 metro 3 cyl auto. car has worn rings so it burns more oil than needed, but that's not what this post is about. i changed oil about a month ago (and "cleaned" system with an oil cleaner before i drained the old oil), and obviously since i frequently check it to add oil, i notice that it is already black/dirty. should i remove the oil pan and clean it out thoroughly to clean up the system or what? thanks.

if the rings are worn it will get the oil dirty much faster. also the cleaner could have loosened up some of the old residue. take oil filler cap off and look inside, if you see any built up sludge them you might take it apart to clean, if its just a light coating i wouldn;t worry about it
