Quick grinding noise on cold start only..

When my 01 yukon slt 5.3 sits for a few days, the first time i go to start it, it almost sounds like a grind when it first starts, but only for a split second. then runs like normal. is this poor oil circulation? im using a 15,000 mile synthetic, it did it before and after the synthetic, i figured that may help more but it didnt make a difference. anyone else have this prob?

might be piston slap.....gm says its normal!!!!!!
